Established the cost of the project, means of financing and financial viability of the proposed rehabilitation plan

Prepared comprehensive investor’s guide/ data document for attracting Food Processing industry to West Bengal. Contains details of existing production of fruits, vegetables, spices, milk, poultry,meat, etc, specifies West Bengal’s advantage and policy environment in West Bengal.

A Mega Food Processing Park at Hooghly, West Bengal
Mega food parks are developed for creation of adequate & robust backward & forward linkages of the entire Agro & Food Processing Industry. Mega Food Parks are expected to cover and influence the entire agro cultivation/ processing chain, starting from farm gate to ending at the market place. Mega Food Parks are slated to intervene and give necessary inputs in the actual cultivation process by supplying seeds, planting materials and farmers’ training. Such an effect ensures better harvest and hence proper inputs for the Food Processing Industry. Hence, Mega Food Park focuses not only setting up of processing units in multiple locations, but also creating primary collection/ distribution centers at the point of cultivation and providing logistic linkages from these centers to the processing units/ or end markets.

Mega Food Parks

Planning Commission, in its Eleventh Five Year Plan, recommended setting up ten Mega Food Parks in the country, replacing its earlier scheme of Food Parks. These Mega Food Parks are envisaged to be created on a very grand scale (70-100 acres) and government will subsidize upto 50% (75% for North East) of the Project cost.

Amongst these 10 Parks, Ministry of Food Processing Industries has approved 5, and given in-principle approval to others. ICICI Winfra is involved with three Parks. ICICI Winfra has prepared:

a. Detailed Project Report for North East Mega Food Park, Assam. The Project is one of the five approved projects by Ministry of Food Processing Industries and first installment of the Grant has been released too.
b. Detailed Project Report for Jangipur Mega Food Park, West Bengal. This Project has received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
c. Expression of Interest for Ranchi Mega Food Park, Jharkhand. This Project is also one of the five approved projects by Ministry of Food Processing Industries.

Cold Chain Projects

IWin has prepared Detailed Project Report for three separate projects in Integrated Cold Chain Infrastructure for private clients. Following are their details:

Project I: Capacity of 2000 tonnes for fish and 1200 tonnes for fruits and vegetables. Location: Amtala, South 24 Paraganas.

Project II: Capacity of 500 tonnes for fruits and vegetables and 40 tonnes for ripening of bananas. Location: Sankrail, Howrah.

Project III: Capacity of 1500 tonnes for fruits and vegetables and 5000 tonnes for potatoes. Location: Dhaniyakhali, Hooghly.This Project has received the approval from the Ministry of Food Processing and Industries
